Aliya is the Head of Education – English, at the Emirates Literature Foundation. As part of this role, she regularly interacts with school students and teachers, working closely with them to offer unique and exciting opportunities to foster a deep love for reading and writing. Aliya has previously worked at a semi-government education foundation (the Sindh Education Foundation) in Pakistan focusing on educational research and development for underserved areas. She has also regularly volunteered for The Citizens Foundation (one of the largest non-governmental education providers in Pakistan) and has freelanced for the Oxford University Press, Karachi.
