Join Professor Gail Whiteman online in conversation with Nigel Topping, the UN High Level Climate Action Champion for COP26; Professor Lisa Roberts, Vice-Chancellor at the University of Exeter; and Kate Kennally, Chief Executive at Cornwall Council as we reflect on the legacy of the G7 for Cornwall, what has been achieved, and the action required at COP26.
Professor Gail Whiteman is Professor of Sustainability at the University of Exeter Business School and founder of Arctic Basecamp whose mission is to ‘speak science to power’. Gail will talk to Nigel Topping about his reflections on G7 and how it will support him in his role to drive action from businesses, investors, organisations, cities, and regions on climate change and coordinate work with governments and parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) – COP26.
Gail will also talk to Professor Lisa Roberts and Kate Kennally about the impact they think the G7 has had on Cornwall, the nation and how they see the future opportunities for the region.
The event will be live online at 8pm on Monday 14th June and is open to all. We welcome questions ahead of the event to firstname.lastname@example.org or on the night from the live website.
