Building upon the success of its foundational projects at COP26 and 27, We Are the Possible was launched to co-create new narratives for COP28 in the United Arab Emirates. Funded by the British Embassy Gulf Strategy Fund, We Are the Possible COP28 brought together a host of major organisations, including the Emirates Literature Foundation, Met Office, BIMM Univeristy, Khorfakkan University, the Theatre of Others, British Council UAE, the British Embassy in the UAE, and a network of schools in UAE and UK.
Harnessing the beauty and power of poetry, education, theatre and music, We Are the Possible delivered a creative response to over 10,000 people in the Blue and Green Zones of COP, and at major cultural venues in Dubai and beyond. Thanks to social media, websites, TV, radio and press, the programme has reached over 6 million people worldwide.
